ELSIE THERESA (BIELY) LEVENHAGEN

Elsie T. Levenhagen, age 94, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, formerly
of 1504 N. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, November 2, 1999, at Holy
Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 1999, at Holy
Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev.
Mathew Simonar with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born September 2, 1905, in the town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Henry
and Helena Bolle Koch. She married Joseph Biely on June 29, 1926, in Francis Creek.
He preceded her in death on August 22, 1950. She later married Earl Levenhagen on
April 23, 1962, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1997. Elsie was
a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Christian Women of the church and the
Catholic Knights.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Lois Biely , Seymour; three
daughters and two sons-in-law, Juanita and Robert Oswald, Mishicot, Joan and Elburne
Mertz, McNaughton, Wis., Sandra Lee Bremer, Silver Lake, Wis.; one step-daughter, Irene
(Edward) Kinnard, Racine; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; along with other
relatives and friends also surviving. She was preceded in death by her first husband,
Joseph Biely; her second husband, Earl Levenhagen; one brother, Leonard Koch; three
sisters, Lena Rezba, Amanda Knauer and Viola Zipperer; one grandson, Richard Oswald.
Friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the
time of service at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
