Mrs. Joseph Marshek, 78, died this morning at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital.
She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Harold Bruemmer, of 1608 Emmet street,
Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Catholic church, Two
Rivers, with burial in Evergreen cemetery in this city.
Born Josephine Hynek in Franklin in 1869, she was married to Joseph Marshek, a
blacksmith, in 1886. He operated a shop at Taus and Walter at Kellnersville and
died in 1915.
Thirty-five years ago Mrs. Marshek moved to Manitowoc, where the family made its
home until Mrs. Bruemmer moved to Two Rivers in 1930, bringing her mother with
her.
Surviving are four sons, Peter of Waukesha, Joseph and Louis of Manitowoc and
Frank of Manitowoc Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Ryder, Mrs. Emma Koehler,
and Mrs. Anna Van De Castle of Manitowoc and Mrs. Harold Bruemmer of Two Rivers,
23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers,
after 2 p.m., Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home.
