Mrs. Henry G. Meier, __, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rockwood Lutheran Church.
The Rev. W.W. _________ will officiate and burial __(to light)
____________, Manitowoc.
The former Ida Sessler was born at Schultz, Russia, June 4, 1888, the
daughter of _____Gottfried Sessler. She was married in February of 1911
in Russia to Henry Meier and the couple came to the United States in
1912. They lived several years at Sheboygan and then occupied a farm
in the Town of Kossuth. Mr. Meyer died in 1954.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Arnold Gauger of Denmark, Mrs. LeRoy
Fischer of Phoeniz, Ariz., Mrs. Jack Kampmann and Mrs. Wilfred Payne of
Plymouth, and Mrs. Robert Hibbard of New Holstein; four sons, Henry of
Sheboygan Falls, Edward and Arthur of Manitowoc, and John of Rt. 2,
Manitowoc; a brother, Gottfried Sessler of Sheboygan; and 20 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
2 p.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to
the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.

Mrs. H. Meier, Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Henry G. Meier, 69 Route 2, Manitowoc, died last Thursday at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. The former
Ida Sessler was born in Schultz, Russia, June 4, 1888. She was married
in February, 1911 in Russia to Henry Meier and the couple came to the
United States in 1912. They lived for several years in Sheboygan and
then occupied a farm in the Town of Kossuth. Mr. Meier died in 1954.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Arnold Gauger, Denmark, Mrs.
