Clara E. Swetlick, age 91, of Francis Creek, passed away at her residence on
Sunday, May 28, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006, at Rockwood
Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Timothy Johnson will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen cemetery.
Clara was born in Newton, on Jan. 17, 1915, daughter of the late Robert and
Emma Schultz Dickert. She married Edward J. Swetlik in Manitowoc on Oct. 9,
1934. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1976. Clara was employed at the
Mirro Aluminum Company in Manitowoc from 1956 until the time of her retirement
in 1979. She was a member of Rockwood Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved
to dance, play cards, do crossword puzzles, work in her flower and vegetable
garden, cook, and do canning. Clara loved to make apple pies for everyone.
Clara is survived by two children: JoAnn (Robert) Schisel, Manitowoc; Dolores (Allen) Jorgensen, Oconto; grandchildren: Doris (Boyd) Philippi; Bill Schisel, Tim (Annette) Schiesel, Marlene Schisel, all of Manitowoc; Keith (Toni) Jorgensen, Freedom; Kyle Jorgensen, Sobieski; Kevin (Kathie) Jorgensen, Clementon, N.J.; Kraig (Lorraine) Jorgensen, Oconto Falls; Kerry (Jeff) Senn, Oconto Falls; great-grandchildren: Daphne Seal; Ryan, Dustin, and Tyson Bauer, Austin Schisel; Dawn and Eric Phillippi; Justin, Joshua, Tyler, Trevor, Tressa, Katie, Kourtney, Ryan, and Jessie Jorgensen; Brooke Senn; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: HIlda Wuellner, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Edith Dickert, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edward; four brothers:
Paul, Edward, Alvin and Robert Dickert; four sisters, Olga Lindemann; Elsie
Naidl; Adeline Pietersen; Violet Behnke; two grandchildren; Linda Bauer; Kris
Jorgensen; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in law.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, June 1, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at
the Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville and again on
Friday at Rockwood Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time
of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Clara’s name.
