Mrs. Serena Truettner, 68, formerly of Rt. 3, Manitowoc , who resided at 303
N. 44th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. David A Passet will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Truettner, nee Serena Diekvoss, was born Sept. 16, 1906, at Forest Junction,
Calumet County, daughter of the late Emil and Emma Zeitlow Diekvoss. She attended
Calumet County schools. She was married to Omar Truettner Jan. 29, 1934, at
Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1956. She was a member of Wesley United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Russ, of Appleton, and Jerome and Omar Jr., of
Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Lois) Antepenko, of Green Bay and Mrs. William
(Ione) Burton, of Sheboygan; a brother, Harvey, of Rt. 1, Brillion; 11 grandchildren
and two great grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday until
the time of service.
