Philip Van Serke, 61, former Manitowoc resident, died unexpectedly after a
coronary attack Wednesday at Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Van Serke was born Feb. 11, 1901, at Ashland, Wis., son of the late John Van
Serke and Helen Kluck Van Serke. He came to Manitowoc at an early age with his
parents and for many years was a wheelsman on Great Lakes ships.
Surviving are his mother, three brothers, Donald of Detroit, Ed of Milwaukee and
Carl of Manitowoc and three sisters, Mrs. Francis Brady, Mrs. Elmer Becker and
Mrs. Alvin Klein of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o’clock this Friday evening.
