Margaret's birth place on the 1851 Census is listed as Machraeth, or Michael. The "Llan-" prefix translates as "Parish of the Saint". Llanfachraeth is the Parish of Saint Michael. An official birth record for Margaret has not yet been found. In the 1820s churches in Wales were Anglican and associated with the Church of England.
