Walter Enneper, 80, of Brillion, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1995 at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1915 in Kiel, and was the son of the late Emil and Minnie (Arnhoelter) Enneper. He was married Aug. 12, 1950 to Florence A. Keller. Mr. Enneper owned and operated the W. Enneper Garage and Body Shop in Brillion until his retirement.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII as a Master Sergeant. He also served as crew chief on a B-24 Bomber in the 307th Bombardment Group.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; four daughters and sons-in-law, Vonita and Larry Burkey, Hudsonville, Mich., Rhonda and Al Atkinson, Green Bay, Joan and Lloyd LaFave, Casper, WY, and Judy and Russell Razmus, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Julie of Brillion, Donald and Janet, Flagstaff, Ariz., Kenneth and Dahle, Brillion, Roy and Tricia, Spartenburg, S.C.; and 26 grandchildren. Survivors also include five sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola and Connie Olson, Jacksonville, Fla., Alma Hansen, Green Bay, Ermie and Carleton Werner, Danville, Ill., Ruth and Merlin Zahn, Chilton, Lois and John Davis, Rowlette, Texas, and a brother-in-law, Art Pohland of Chilton; one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Lucille Enneper of Baileys Harbor; and two sisters-in-law, Viola Enneper, Green Bay and Florence G. Enneper, Longboat Key, Fla.
Mr. Enneper was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby and Helen and by two brothers, Edward and Harold, and one brother-in-law, Eric Hansen.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Wieting Funeral home in Brillion with the Rev. Lenox Paylin as officiant. Burial was in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
