He was born Aug. 30, 1896, in the town of Rockland, a son of Albert and Emilie Pingel Fischer. On Nov. 2, 192 he married Helena Rusch at Rantoul. He farmed in the Hilbert Area until 1968 when he moved to Potter. For the past two years he resided in Hilbert. Mr. Fischer was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction, and the Hilbert American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Evelyn) Diener, Potter, Mrs. Charles (Myra) Burg, Charlesburg, and Mrs. Janet Just, Sturtevant; 11 great grandchildren and eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clara Enneper, Brillion, and three brothers, Helmuth and Milton, both of Brillion and August of Collins. A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction, the Rev. Mark Swanson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
