Death of Heye Folkers On Dec. 17
Heye Folkers, a native of Gothenburg, passed away at Grand Island on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1975. He had been visiting there at the home of his daughter, Ileane McCoy.
Born in Gothenburg on March 5, 1897, he was 78.
Mr. Folkers, who was a member of the American Lutheran Church, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dale McCoy of Grand Island; two sons: Elmer of Lexington and Raymond of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Fred, of Gothenburg; a sister, Mrs. Lena Ostendorf of Cozad; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held Monday morning, Dec. 22nd, at the American Lutheran Church, with Pastor Arlyn Saathoff officiating. Music was by the American Lutheran Men’s Double Quartet, with Mrs. Rodney Aden as organist. Casket bearers were Lowell Eloe, Ernest Aden, Keith Aden, Folly Rosendahl, Gerald Aden, and and [sic] Rodney Aden. Interment was in American Lutheran Cemetery, north of Gothenburg.

Funeral services were conducted Monday for Heye Folkers, 78 of Gothenburg, father of Elmer Folkers of Lexington. The Rev. Arlyn Saathoff officiated at the services conducted at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg. Interment was in the American Lutheran Cemetery.
He was born March 5, 1897 at Gothenburg and was a lifelong resident of that community. He died Wednesday, Dec. 17 in a Grand Island hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Ileane) McCoy of Grand Island; two sons, Elmer of Lexington and Raymond of Seattle, Wash., a brother Fred of Gothenburg; a sister, Mrs. Lena Ostendorf of Cozad and nine grandchildren.
