Plymouth County, passed away at
the Sacred Heart hospital today,
Thursday. May 15, 1952 at 11:45
a. m. He had been a patient at the
hospital for the past six weeks.
Henry Luken was born October 5.
1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Luken. He was married to Elizabeth
Becker on January 19, 1904. They
farmed in Preston township for several
years. They then moved to ;
farm in Marion township in 1919
where they farmed until their retirement
in October, 1951. At that time
they came to Le Mars to make their
home at 513 4th St. S. E.
Survivors include his widow. Elizabeth;
children, Eleanore Luken at
home; Art Luken of Le Mars; Mrs.
Albert (Mabel) Kommes of Le Mars;
Mrs, J. A. Kemp (Oliva)of Le Mars;
Mrs. Ted (Julia) Nilles of Remsen;
also 22 grandchildren.
The following brothers and sisters
also survive: John of Brunsvillo:
Joe of Le Mars; August of Granville;
Nick of St. Joseph, Missouri;
Mrs. M. F. (Lucille) Joynt of Marcus
and Clara of Washington, D. C.
Preceding him in death were his
parents and a brother, Ed; two
brothers and 2 sisters died in infancy.
The remains will be at the Wiltgen-
Luedtke funeral home- until time
of services at 8:30 Saturday morning
at St. Joseph's church. Burial in St.
Joseph's cemetery.
