Sarah Leona Stephan, daughter of Dave and Ida Hanover, 29 July 1890-26 August 1947, 47y 27d. She was employed at the Main Cafe in Carmi and died suddenly there while at work, of a heart attack. Married 2 September 1906 to John Stephan. Three children, two sons, Norman and Glenn, one daughter, Mrs. John Burlison, all of Carmi. She leaves her companion, her children, mother, two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Stephan, Mt. Vernon, Indiana and Mrs. Flora Cain, Norris City, Illinois; three brothers, Harvey (David Arva), Maunie, Illinois; Minuard, Danville, Illinois, and Raymond, Norris City, Illinois; three half-sisters, Mrs Ida. Krenzien of Nebraska, Oleva Brothers of Indiana and Lizzie Wells of Springerton, Illinois, one half-brother, William Hanover of Carrier Mills, Illinois. Funeral at Pentecostal Church Saturday 28 August 1937. Burial: Kuykendall Cemetery.
