Anhalt, Peter (Jan. 4, 1879-Feb. 2, 1945 [birth date comes from birth record] –husband of Margaret Schad [married Nov. 5, 1907 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of John Anhalt and Barbara Knier –born Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County –on Oct. 1, 1907 purchased the 56 acre farm at 7007 Tompkins Road in Section 19, Town of Liberty from Adam Platten –owned this farm until his accidental death in 1945 –his widow Margaret then moved to St. Nazianz and the farm was sold on Nov. 19, 1946 –died from “fat embolism and fracture of right ulna” –“Peter Anhalt died of shock and injuries suffered when he fell from a tractor two days ago. He was driving the tractor from Valders to St. Nazianz when the accident happened.” –from obit – “Reported today that the tractor on which Anhalt was riding, was being towed by a truck driven by Herman Klann, St. Nazianz, through the village of Valders. The truck was going north and turned east. Just as the truck made the turn, Anhalt applied the brakes to the tractor and the tractor tipped over, throwing Anhalt clear of the vehicle. PETER ANHALT

Peter Anhalt, aged 67, residing on Valders R. 1, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday at the Holy Family hospital in Manitowoc, after suffering injuries in a fall from his tractor two days before.
Mr. Anhalt was born on January 4, 1878, near Millhome. November 5, 1907, he was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Schad of the town of Schleswig. The couple settled on a farm one mile northeast of St. Nazianz after their marriage, and made their home on that farm since.
Survivors are his wife and four daughters; Mrs. Louis Heinzen of St. Nazianz; Anita of Los Angeles, Cal.; Hilaria of Manitowoc, and Mariann at home. Also surviving him are two brothers, John of Plymouth and Joseph of St. Nazianz, and also the following sisters; Mrs. John Gusse, Glenbeulah; Mrs. Fred Altenberger and Mrs. Carl Mahloch, Sheboygan; Mrs. John Bermke, Plymouth; Mrs. Isadore Meyer, Mrs. Edward Schad and Mrs. Alex Gerhardt of St. Nazianz. Three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock on Tuesday morning at St. Gregory's church in St. Nazianz. - 1945
