Rev. Abraham Berry, 77, son of the late John Berry and Martha Jane Berry, was born December 17, 1898 in Green County and departed this life October 31. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Bertha Lee Barrett, who survives. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Surviving are Mrs. Cosby Acree, Greensburg, Ralph G. Berry and Harold B. Berry, both of Louisville, John E. Berry preceded his father in death. Also surviving are one brother: Daniel Berry, Louisville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, at Greensburg Baptist Church by Revs. D. L. Druien, Eutra Hammed, Dan Lovell, and R. E. Slinker. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Raymond Berry, Vernon Berry, Melvin Berry, H. H. Gorin, Paul Murray, and Rufus Judd.
