Platten, Peter Kastor (Oct. 3, 1821-July 19, 1898) –husband of Katharine Meyer [married May 9, 1853 in Green Bay, Brown County] –son of Anton Platten and Anna Hermes [Anton Platten was baptized Oct 3, 1790 in Mörsdorf, Cochem, Rheinland, Prussia – Anna Hermes was born Nov. 1, 1794 –they were married Dec. 26, 1814 in Morsdorf, Cochem-Zell, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany – Anton remarried to Mary Bibelhausen on Apr 27, 1829] –on Feb. 20, 1863 purchased the 40 acres of the NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 29, Town of Liberty from Isaiah Snell Stetson and created a farmstead at 7528 Marken Road –on March 22, 1884 purchased the 60 acre farm to the east in the NE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 29 –this farm then became part of the Peter Kastor farm centered at 7528 Marken Road –the original farmstead on these 60 acres was then razed –Peter owned the farm at 7528 Marken Road until his death in 1898 –this farm was then sold to his son Peter Platten–died from “cancer of rectum”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 14, Lot 22 –stone] [marriage record in Brown County] [death record Manitowoc 6-83]
