Brunner, Frank Peter (Oct. 19, 1883-Feb. 7, 1972 –husband of Mary Bogenschuetz [married June 13, 1911 at St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland, Town of Centerville] –son of Michael Brunner and Mary Augustine –born at Kellnersville, Town of Franklin –self-employed carpenter, builder of homes –moved to St. Nazianz in 1926 –on Oct. 3, 1929 purchased the house at 112 South Fifth Avenue in St. Nazianz –Mary lived in this house until her death on Nov. 19, 1933 –Frank was living here, just east of the Joseph Backhaus Auto Dealership, when the fire of Feb. 1, 1945 destroyed his house –the land was then purchased by Joseph Backhaus on Feb. 10, 1945 –from the time of the fire in 1945 until the purchase of the house on West Court in 1951, rented the house at 202 South Second Avenue in St. Nazianz –on Jan. 2, 1951 purchased the former Diem house at 105 West Court in St. Nazianz –lived here until selling on Oct. 25, 1960 to his son Adrian Brunner –from this date on, lived with various sons and daughters –lived last 5 years with his son Joseph at 210 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac –died from “arteriosclerosis –myocarditis –pulmonary edema”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 2, Row 14, Lot 22 –stone] [marriage record Manitowoc 10-230] [death record Manitowoc 71-161]

Frank Brunner, 88, formerly of St. Nazianz, died Monday morning at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Christianson Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Gregory Putzer, S.D.D., will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brunner was born Oct. 19, 1883, at Kellnersville, son of the late Michael and Mary Augustin Brunner. He was a carpenter by trade. He married Mary Bogenscheutz June 13, 1911, at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Osman. Mr. Brunner was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights. His wife preceded him in death in 1933.
Survivors include four sons, Martin of Brillion, Adrian of Valders, Anton of Rt. 1, New Holstein, and William of Janesville; three daughters, Mrs. Arvin (Mary) Dehne of Newton, Mrs. Lawrence (Thecla) Krauss of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Victor (Angeline) Lallensack of Rt. 5, Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Three sons preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
