Cecilia H. Samonds, 93, of Buffalo died Monday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1901, in Germany, the daughter of Victor and Mathilda Griech [sic] Krebs.

She married Ernest R. Samonds in 1942; he died in 1956.

Mrs. Samonds was a resident of Dawson from 1946 to 1984 and Buffalo for the last 10 years.

She was previously employed by McCoy Laundry as a presser and sorter and was also employed at the rectory at St. James Church in Riverton as a cook and housekeeper. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Buffalo and Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors: stepdaughter; stepson; sister, Mrs. Bertha Richards of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Services: Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph's Church, Buffalo, the Rev. Kenneth Steffen officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
