Schwoerer, Frank (May 8, 1887-March 15, 1926 –husband of Ida Heinzen [married May 6, 1913 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of Gregor Schwoerer and Katharine Fessler –born Town of Eaton –farmer –died from “meningitis –mastoislectomy” – “Frank came down with the flu. His return to farm work too soon may have had something to do with a relapse. He began to have severe headaches and also an ear infection. Eventually, he was transported to Holy Name Hospital in Manitowoc. The doctors drilled a hole behind his mastoid to relieve the pressure. Without a modern day anti-biotic Frank never had a chance. F. SCHWOERER OF ST. NAZIANZ DIES AFTER OPERATION

Frank Schwoerer, 36, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday at the Manitowoc hospital, following an operation. He submitted to an operation about two weeks ago and to another one on Thursday, from which death resulted.
His remains were brought to his home at St. Nazianz and funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory's church. A requiem mass will be read by the Rev. E. Deibele and burial will take place in the
adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Schwoerer was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gregor Schwoerer. He was born on a farm one mile south of the village. On May 6, 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Heinzen, of St. Nazianz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heinzen. The young couple then located on a farm 4 miles from the village.

The deceased leaves to mourn his untimely death, the sorrowful widow, and five children, Alvina, aged 11, Arnold, 9, Sylphia, 7, Rita, 2, and Alphonse, aged 1 year. Eight brothers, Joseph Schwoerer, of Cleveland,
Anton, George, John, Peter, and Ulrich all of St. Nazianz, Gregor and Otto of Mount Horeb, also survive.

Mr. Schwoerer was a member of the Catholic Knights and that order will attend the funeral services in a body on Thursday.
