Amanda McLeland, 76, widow of John Leeson McLeland, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday at her home one-half mile west of Shideler. She had been ill several months.
Death of the elderly woman followed that of her husband by only six months. The body was removed to Meeks Mortuary pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Opal Toll of Muncie, Mrs. Myrtle H. House of Evansville, Mrs. Bessie M. Smith of Redondo Beach, Calif.; two sons, Pearl V. McLeland of Shideler, and Clyde L. McLeland, at home; and 14 grandchildren.
