Edwin F. Schreiber, 87, of Route 2, Kiel, Town of Meeme, died unexpectedly
Wednesday afternoon, April 16, at home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel.
The Rev. Dean Roy Miller, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, will officiate and burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery, School Hill. Military graveside rites will be accorded Mr. Schreiber by Kupfahl-Meyer-Scheib American Legion Post 387 of Franklin.

Mr. Schreiber was born Sept. 1, 1892, in the Town of Herman, son of the late Henry and Minna Rietbenstein Schreiber. He attended a district school at Ada and married Martha Holzer Nov. 25, 1919, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Following their marriage they farmed the Schreiber homestead farm in the Town of Meeme. Mrs. Schreiber preceded him in death in 1973. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War I in Europe. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and Kupfahl-Meyer-Scheib American Legion Post No. 387.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Alice) Witthuhn of Route 2 Kiel, and Mrs. Norbert (Lucille) Koenig of Route 1, Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie
Hoppe of Route 1, Cleveland, and Mrs. Richard Hanke of Route 3, Plymouth, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A son and two brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday.
