OBITUARY - Alvina A. Johannes, 91, Wautoma, passed away on Friday, June 30, 1989 at the Wild Rose Manor.She was born Dec 7, 1897 in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara Co, the daughter of Herman and Anna Lohman Bliske. She married Mr. Thomas F Johannes on December 11, 1918 at Wautoma. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1970.Mrs. Johannes and her late husband farmed in the Town of Deerfield for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wautoma.Survivors include five sons, Sylvester (Evelyn) Johannes, Melvin Johannes, Harley Johannes and Donald Johannes all of Wautoma, Frank (Jean) Johannes, Milwaukee; two daughters Marion Christensen, Waupaca, Mrs. Warren (Anna) Furst, Coleman; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Walter, Albert, Fred, Leonard; two sisters, Lillian, and Ida; two grandchildren, Gerold and Barbara.Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 1989 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wautoma, with the Rev. Robert Karuhn officiating. Burial took place in the parish cemetery.Friends called after 6:00 p.m Sunday at the Leikness Funeral home, Wautoma. A parish prayer service was recited at 7:30 p.m Sunday at the Leikness Funeral Home.Honorary Pallbearers were: Tom Christensen, Tim Christensen, Robert Johannes, Clarence Bliske, Ernest Bliske, and Robert Bartel
