News of the death of Martin Cannon, a well known Omahan at San Diego, Cal., Monday, has been received, but little information beyond that fact. John A. McShane, a brother-in-law of Mr. Cannon, says that the body is en route to this city, and the funeral services will probably be held from the family home, 2206 Spencer street. The telegram announcing Mr. Cannon's death was two days reaching here, and it has been difficult to get particulars.
Mr. Cannon was on the coast in connection with business interests which he has been extensively engaged in there for years.
He was for many years a prominent stockman of this city.

The funeral of Martin Cannon was held from the family residence, 2206 Spencer street, Monday morning, to Sacred Heart church. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
The pall bearers were:
Fred Cannon, James Swift, Martin Cannon, Lee McShane, Charles Cannon, John Regan, Edward Cannon, Charles Furay.
Mr. Cannon, who was an old resident of this city, died in California. He came here some forty years ago from Ohio. Many of the early settlers were at his funeral.
All the pall bearers were relatives.
