Hagerstown, Maryland, Morning Herald, Saturday, November 18, 1967:
Miss Blanche Mumma, 59, of 299 Summit Avenue, died enroute to Washington County Hospital on Friday morning. Born near Keedysville she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Isabell Wolf Mumma.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical United Brethren Church of Hagerstown.
She was employed as a telephone operator with the Western Maryland Railroad Co.
She is survived by sisters, Mrs. Gussie E. Shiffler, Boonsboro; Mrs. Mildred I. Beachley, Mrs. Emma C. Emmert, Mrs. M. Ella Mumma, and Miss Catherine I. Mumma, all of Hagerstown; Mrs. Lucille M. Hoover, Funkstown; brother, C. Albert Mumma, Sharpsburg.
Services will be held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Lester M. Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
