Mrs. Nora Kerley Guynn, daughter of John M. and Caroline Kerley, born Feb. 19, 1880, passed away at her home near Glendale, Ill., May 19th 1932, at the age of 52 years, 3 months. She was married to Riley Guynn May 26, 1899 and to this union 12 children were born, 4 children and aged father having preceded her to the great beyond. Those surviving are Mrs. Nettie Kemp, and Marjorie of Bloomington, Ill.; Earl, Paul, Fern, Ward, Wilbur, Owen of Glendale, Ill., the above eight children, 4 brothers, Miles Kerley of near Brownfield; Weaver, Oren, Johnnie of Simpson, a half-brother, Calvin Kerley of Cobden; 3 sisters, Mrs. Julia Murrie, Creal Springs; Mrs. Cora Stapleton, Mrs. Clarice Wright of Simpson, a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Another spirit has passed from earth to the abode of our Father. Her worn body is in silent repose, while her loving spirit is with the Lord in the land of the redeemed where no shadow of night ever comes and where the sun never sets. We fondly cherish her in loving memory and trust to meet her again where partings are unknown. She was converted five years ago at Glendale and united with the M. E. church there, where she remained a devout member. She bore her suffering with patience and often expressed her desire as willing and ready to go. She was a loyal mother, a kind and loving wife, a good neighbor and a friend to all.
