Bertha L. Martz, of Adrian, R.D. 1,Armstrong County died Sunday, October 16, 1983, at the Southern Maryland Medical Center in Camp Spring, Maryland.
She was born December 12, 1908, in Coolspring,
the daughter of Mont & Olive Huffman Keller.
She was married to Melvin J. Martz, who survives.
In addition to her husband,she is survived by four daughters: Kathleen Kirkpatrick of Dayton R.D. 1,
Geraldine Silverman of Trenton, N.J.,
Joan Wilburn of Camp Spring, Maryland,
Barbara Kay Martz of Adrian R.D. 1;
six sons:
Melvin Martz of Kittanning,
Joseph Martz of Kittanning R.D. 5,
Raymond Martz of Hawthorn,
Morris Martz of Kittanning,
Charles Martz of Adrian R.D.1,
Robert Martz of Adrian R.D. 1;
15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren;
and three sisters:
Hazel Williams of Butler,
Tessie Smith of Brookville
and Elva Buffington of Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Martz was preceded in death by her parents,
two sons, Frank and William,
one daughter, Betty Jane,
and a sister, Janet Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home of Hawthorn.
Merle L. Wagner will officiate.
Interment will be in the Coolspring Cemetery.
