Warren Argales Bruce, 75, of West Frankfort went to be with the Lord at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, officiated by Pastors Wayne and Barbara Gardner. Burial will be in Plasters Grove Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Warren was born March 3, 1933, in Benton, the son of John and Ivael (Morris) Bruce.

He married Barbara Bruce on June 28, 1965, in Benton, and together they shared 43 years of marriage.

Warren was a member of the Harvest Field Church in West Frankfort and was an avid fisherman and skilled craftsman of Indian artifacts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bruce; one daughter, Jamie Wyant and husband, Ben, of West Frankfort; three grandchildren, Galia Volanski and husband, Jason, Ben Wyant and wife, Destiny, of West Frankfort, and Greg Wyant and wife, Christina, of St. Charles, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mona Synder and Aline Bruce, both of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
