Daniel was a farmer, like his father before him. He had a small homestead in Buffalo Mills, PA., were he and his family scratched out a living. Being God fearing folks, the Kring's were members of the Evangelical Association Church of Bedford County.
Through the marriage of Daniel and Elizabeth, five children were born, three sons, and two daughters;
Jonathan; (1834-1862) Dies in Army Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia, of sever leg wounds received at the Battle of Slaughter's Mountain, Virginia, April 10, 1862.
