I am adding him to this cemetery there are many unmarked and unreadable stones and going by land deeds and that his son is buried here I think it more then likely that he is buried here. Christian Lion was born about 1760-1763 in Shenadoah county, VA. He is the son of Johann Conrad Elscheid and Maria Catharina Goessel. He married Feb. 25 1784 Shenandoah co. VA. to Christina Pangle. His brother John Conrad Aleshire married Christina's sister Susannah Pangle on the same day.
Children:
1)Susannah Pence 1783-3/31/1851 married to Isaac Pence 1/25/1806. They lived in 1811 Champaign co. Ohio.Then 1820 to Bartholomew co. Indiana. Then 1830 to Joilet, Illinois. 1835 to Henderson co. Illinois. And then to Washington co. Iowa
2) Catherine Metts 3/19/1786- 4/28/1866 married to David Metts/Metz on may 14 1810. They moved to Ohio not far from her brother.
3) Margaret "Peggy" Hay 1790-1861 married Reuben Hay in 1816. They also went to Gallia, Ohio.
4)Elizabeth Decker 1793-1860 married Jacob Decker on 5/20/1813. She died in Ohio ,He died in Illinois.
5) Joseph Aleshire 8/5/1796-10/12/1849 married to Sarah "Sally" Koontz on may 16 1820 in Shenandoah, co. va. He is a Reverend. Joseph is the only child that stayed on the farm in VA. The same land is to this day still in his descendants hands.
6)Reuben Aleshire 1808- 4/22/1888 married Margaret Shepard on 9/18/1838 in Gallia, Ohio. Where they raised their family. Reuben was killed by being thrown from his carriage when his horses ran away.

Shenandoah co. Deed book 0 pg. 87 Oct. 26, 1799 He buys 191 acres from Maggart family. Located at what is now Leaksville Road in Page co. VA. Still owned by his descendants.

Shenandoah co. Deed book R pg 63 Sept. 5 1809 He buys 158 acres from Thomas Newman for $1000. Located at what is now Leaksville, Page county, VA. Is still owned by his descendants.

Pursuant to an order of the county court of Page co. dated November term of 1831 the commissioners on the 2nd day of December proceeded to divide the land of Christian Aleshire dec' lying near Mill Run amongst the Heirs of Christian Aleshire dec'
