MRS. CALHOUN
Funeral service were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Blue Ridge First Baptist for Mrs. Rosa Lee Calhoun, 82, native and lifelong resident of East Collin county, who died last Wednesday in a McKinney hospital. The rites were conducted by the Reverends, Peck Williams and Barry Beames, and interment was in the Blue Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Roland Driggers, Alfred Scott, Kenneth Thacker, Phil Herron, Everett Harmon, and Keith Williams. Mrs. Calhoun was born in the Boggy Community between Farmersville and Blue Ridge Dec. 25, 1901. She was the daughter of George L. and Mray Frances Driggers. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church at Blue Ridge. She was married to Oscar Calhoun Nov. 6, 1920 at Blue Ridge and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Darvis Calhoun of Rowlett; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister Mrs. Geneva Rich of McKinney and a brother, Chester Driggers of Leonard.

Mrs. Rosa Calhoun BLUE RIDGE
Services for Mrs. Rosa Calhoun of Princeton, 83-year-old housewife who died Wednesday at Wysong Hospital in McKinney, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, directed by Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Calhoun was born in East Texas, a daughter of George L. and Mary Frances Driggers, and married Oscar Calhoun. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge. Surviving are her son, Darvis Calhoun of Rowlett; sister, Mrs. Geneva Rich of McKinney; brother, Chester Driggers of Leonard; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
