Anise was born in Plumville (S. Mahoning Twp.), Indiana Co., PA, the daughter of Alphonsus Genere Gallentine and Evaline Coppick. She married William H. Spencer on February 27, 1896 in Indiana, Indiana Co., PA. He died in 1945. She remarried Frank Roy Cessna on January 10, 1951 in South Bend, Armstrong Co., PA. She died in Washington Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.

William and Anise Spencer were the parents of six children:
1. "Eva" Evaline (Spencer) Klingensmith
2. "Zoe" Erma Zoe (Spencer) Ashbaugh
3. Ira J. Spencer
4. Guy Calvin Spencer
5. Paul W. Spencer
6. Ralph Carlyle Spencer

Frank and Anise Cessna had no children.

Mrs. Anise Spencer Cessna, 86, wife of Frank Cessna, of Washington Twp. died Jan. 8, 1965 in her home following a lingering illness.

She was born Dec. 23, 1878, in Plumville, to Alfonso and Evelyn Copple Gallatine.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Bert (Zoe) Ashbaugh, North Apollo; four sons: Ira J. Spencer, Los Angeles; Guy C. Spencer, Apollo; Paul W. Spencer, Derby, N. Y.; and Ralph C. Spencer, Tullytown; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

Six Step-sons: Virgil Cessna, Indiana, Pa.; Charles Cessna, Elderton; Clyde Cessna, Avonmore; Miles Cessna, Weirton, PA; Ward Cessna, Cleveland, and Merle Cessna, Warren, Ohio; six step-daughters: Mrs. Velma Claypool, Parks township; Mrs Jesse Elgin, Indiana, Pa; Mrs. Oscar Myers, Shelocta; Mrs. Fred Cutlip, Mrs. Buddy Albinese and Mrs. Arville Rose, all of Baltimore; one sister, Mrs. Anna Guyer, Vandergrift, and one brother, Clover Gallatine, DuBois.

Friends were received in the N. Lee Roy King Funeral Home, 210 South 2nd St., Apollo, until time of service Monday with the Rev. Ivan P. Alls, Pastor of North Apollo church of God, officiating. Burial was in Vandergrift Cemetery.
