1912-2002 Icel E. Brown
89, of Twin Falls, formerly of Kimberly, Idaho passed away September 30, 2002, at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Icel was born October 23, 1912, in Hickory County, Missouri, to Daniel and Leona Lindsey Hartnett. Icel graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1930, one of three students in her graduating class. She married Bert Brown on February 9, 1930, and to this union were born Dan, Joe & Patricia. Bert & Icel moved to the Kimberly area in 1937, where they raised their family. At age 54, Icel went to College to get her Nursing Degree. She then worked for several years at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. Icel is survived by her two sons, Dan Brown of Pocatello, ID and Joe Norma Brown of Twin Falls, Idaho. Two sisters, Ruth Zahringer of Sedalia, MO and Mary Curley Hourman of Lakeside, CA; 5 grandchildren, Julie Mike Kraus of Albuquerque, NM, Greg Dutt of Nampa, ID, Billie Duane Ward of Boise, ID, Mike Christine Brown of Las Cruces, NM and Jennifer Thompson of Twin Falls, and 14 great grandchildren. Her parents, sister, Cleo Hartnett, two brothers, Alfred & Dee Hartnett, daughter, Patricia Dutt and her husband, Bert Brown, preceded her in death. Funeral Services for Icel will be held Friday, October 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls, ID. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls. Friends may call Thursday, October 3, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements and services are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
