OBITUARY Iron County Reporter Sep 10 2003 "Obituaries: Florence Ask"
IRON RIVER - Florence M. Ask, 86, of 502 Blossom St., passed away Sept. 7 at the Iron River Care Center.
She was born May 29, 1917 in Stambaugh. The daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (Erickson) Lindstrom was a life long resident. She attended the Stambaugh Schools and graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1935. She also attended North Park College in Chicago, Ill. On June 14, 1947 she married Lionel J. Ask in Stambaugh, where the couple made their home. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron River. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Willard and Lawrence Lindstrom; and a sister Signe.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gary (Laurelyn) of Detroit Lakes, Minn. and Roger of St. Paul, Minn.; a sister Alice Wade of Morehead City, NC; four grandchildren, Nathan, Kevin, Cindy and Rebecca; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Iron River.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept 10 at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. John Fish, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be held in Stambaugh Cemetery.
Jacobs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
