MRS. J. A. ABRAHAMSON
Mrs. J. A. Abrahamson peacefully passed into rest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Esther Ballard, near Chariton, Iowa, on August 11, 1941, at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Fredricka Wilhelmina Lindstrom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Lindstrom, was born in Hallingeberg, Kalmar, Sweden, on October 27, 1856. She was one of six children.
She was united in marriage to J. A. Abrahamson on Dec. 31, 1875. To this union five children were born, Charley Abrahamson, Mrs. Esther Ballard, Manuel Abrahamson, Mrs. Laura Duckworth and Walter Abrahamson, all of Lucas county.
In the summer of 1881 she, with her husband and two small children, emigrated to America, settling in Lucas county, Iowa, and resided here until her death, having lived in the neighborhood of Williamson for more than 45 years.
In early life she was converted, joining the Baptist church, later transferring her membership to the Central Christian church of near Williamson.
On August 7, 1918, her husband preceded her in death. Others who preceded her were her parents, one brother and her twin sister, who died when she was about five years old.
She is survived by her five children, 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; also an aged sister, Mrs. Augusta Beck, of Edgeworth, Canada; and two brothers, Peter Lindstrom, of Regina, Canada, and Carl Lindstrom, of Rockwell City, Iowa, besides several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals, of Russell, were held at the Beardsley funeral home, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
