John Clark Walter died Tuesday, June 2nd at his home in Seal Beach, California, where he has lived since 1968. He was born in Athena, Oregon, on October 4, 1911. John moved to Yakima in 1936. There he married Frances Sullivan in 1939. They lived in Yakima and Sunnyside until 1956, when they moved to Portland, Oregon. There John managed Rawlinson's Cleaners for many years. John retired to Seal Beach in 1968. John is survived by his wife, Frances, and his daughters Mary Catherine Brumbaugh of Camas, Washington; Jane Brockman of Winter Garden, Florida; Mollie Walter of Long Beach, California; and Bridget Marrazzo of Fairfax, Virginia. His eldest daughter, Marilyn Clare Walby, preceded him in death on April 28 of this year. John is also survived by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and 19 grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at St. Hedwigs Catholic Church in Los Alamitos, California on June 7th. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at 1 PM on Thursday, June 12th.
