Laura K. Nowels
Millersburg - Mrs. Laura Kinsey Nowels, 88, Walnut Hills Nursing Home, formerly of here, died Sunday afternoon at Pomerrne Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born June 27, 1892 in Glemont, she was the daughter of Samuel J. and Dora Darr Kinsey. She married Francis M. Nowels, who died in 1946.
She was a member of the Hopewell United Presbyterian Church, the Missionary Society of the Church and was a member of the Get Together Club.
Surviving are two sons, . . . , one daughrer [sic] . . . , one sister, Mrs. Clara Starner of Big Prairie, two brothers, Charles of Jeromesville and Samuel of Big Prairie, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hopewell Church with the Rev. Christopher P. Stewart officiating. Calling hours ar 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Elliott-Hartline Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Hopewell United Presbyterian Church.
