Mrs. C. Rowmain Eyler, 75, of Rocky Ridge, died Wednesday, February 1, at the Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg. She was the wife of Norval E. Eyler of 59 years, whom she married April 11, 1946.
Born March 30, 1930 in Rocky Ridge, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Annabelle Shriner Baker.

Mrs. Eyler was a loving mother and wife. She raised foster children in her home most of her life. She enjoyed taking care of her home and being with her friends and family. She was a member of the Monocacy Congregation Church of the Brethren in Rocky Ridge.

Surviving besides her husband are three children, Ralph Eyler and wife Deborah of Rocky Ridge, Loretta Hargett and husband Lewis of Emmitsburg, and JoAnn Hurley and husband Paul of Thurmont; daughter-in-law Alice Eyler of Rocky Ridge; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dolline Free, Mary Harmon, and Rachel Eichelberger and husband John, all of Rocky Ridge, and Florence Cook and husband Hanford of Woodsboro; a brother, Orville Baker Jr. and wife Dorothy of Rocky Ridge; a sister-in-law Betty Baker of NC; and a brother-in-law Leon Stover of Rocky Ridge. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Eyler; a sister, Katherine Stover; a brother, Wilson Baker; brother and sister-in-law Ralph Baker and Naomi Baker; and two brothers-in-law, Morris Free and Howard Harmon.

Mrs. Eyler is at the Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont, where friends may call from 1-9 p.m. Thursday, February 2. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

On Friday, Mrs. Eyler will be removed to the Monocacy Congregation Church of the Brethren, 13517 Motter Station Road, Rocky Ridge, where she will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at which time services will begin with her pastor, the Reverend Alan Smith and the Reverend Donald Stine officiating.

Interment will be in Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rocky Ridge.
