She married Daniel Edgerton 16 Jan 1895 in Gowrie, Webster, Iowa. They were the parents of nine: Dessie Odessa Dixon, Harold J., Gladys Winnifred, Violet Irene, Raymond Owen, Verle Russell, Ila Johnson, Inez Johnson-Schwertzman, and Richard Lyle Sr.

GOWRIE, Feb. 13--Mrs. Alice Edgerton, former resident of Gowrie, died after an illness Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Gilmore City.
Mrs. Edgerton lived in Gowrie until three years ago when she went to Gilmore City to live with her daughter. Mr. Edgerton died in 1930.
Mrs. Edgerton was one of the earliest graduates of Gowrie high school.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church here with a Gilmore City minister officiating. Burial will be in the Gowrie cemetery.
Mrs. Edgerton died suddenly after a brief illness. She lived for a time in Fort Dodge.
She is survived by the following children: Richard and Inez of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Chifford Johnson of Harcourt, Verl of Gowrie, Mrs. Odessa Dixon of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Gladys Farnham of Gowrie, Ray of Humboldt, Mrs. Troy Day of Gilmore City and Harold of Minnesota.
