Grant Blair, 79 of Dickerson Run, died at 7 o'clock Sunday evening at his home after a lingering illness. He was born September 25, 1867 in Iowa, a son of the late Reobert and Harriet Blair. In his youth he was foreman of a blacksmith shop at Star Junction. For 18 years he was a farmer near Flatwoods, retiring in 1945. He came to Dickerson Run in that year. He was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma Chesler Blair, on daughter, Mrs. Harry Lee Strickler of Dickerson Run; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers Dow Blair of Massillon, Ohio and Ira Blair of Perryopolis.
The funeral will be be held Wednesday afternoon with a prayer at the home at 2 o'clock. Additional rites will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock in the Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel E. Harper, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
