Mrs. MARY ELLEN FUNK, 64, of 408 West Potomac Street in Brunswick, wife of Hartzel S. Funk, died Sunday, July 27 at Charles Town General Hospital. She was a daughter of Mrs. Minnie Ashby Shook of Brunswick and the late William Shook. She was a member of Sandy Hook Methodist Church, the Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1582 Fraternal Order of Eagles auxiliary No. 1136, the Pythian Sisters and the Volunteer Ambulance auxiliary of Brunswick.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by two sons, by her first husband Arthur Bennett Blackburn Sr., Arthur Bennett Blackburn Jr. of Rockville and Charles William Blackburn of Winston-Salem, N.C., one daughter, Mrs. Mary Francis Harper of Hancock, and one brother, William Shook of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Crum of Brunswick and eight grandchildren.



Funeral services were held at the Feete Fueneral Home; burial was in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
