Gail P. Short, 72, passed away on Aug. 29, 2009, at the Hadlow Center of Hospice in Jacksonville.
A native Floridian, Gail lived most of her life in St. Augustine. She worked for Barnett Bank for over 20 years and assisted her husband in their private catering business. She enjoyed life and loved her church family at Crescent Beach Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sonny; daughter, Lori Petersen; and son, Preston W. Short, both of St. Augustine; sister, Cynthia Seavey of Neptune Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Crescent Beach Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the building fund of Crescent Beach Baptist Church, 885 State Road 206, St. Augustine, FL 32086 or Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
