Mrs. Sally Dix Taylor, 80, died Thursday, January 23, at the Taylor County Hospital. She was a native of Taylor County, the daughter of the late Lou Ratliff and Thomas Dix, born April 22, 1889. Mrs. Taylor was married to Lewis Taylor, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Meadow View Baptist Church. Her survivors include: one son, James Allen Taylor, Greensburg; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Menifee, Greensburg, Indiana; Mrs. Noel Kelly, Glendale, California; Mrs. Jim Parrott, Campbellsville; and one brother, Marvin Dix of Mooresville, Indiana. One son, Walter Taylor, preceded his mother in death five weeks ago. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, January 25, at Lyon Funeral Home with Dr. D. L. Druien officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Delbert, Dean, Paul, and Kenneth Dix, James Mitchell, and Eugene Taylor.
