Mrs. Rhoda Piersol, aged 78 years, widow of the late Lewis Piersol, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her son, Holland Piersol, on Main street, West Side, after a month's illness of complicaitons of diseases. Funeral from the Piersol residence Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Services and interment at Flatwoods about 1 o'clock. Rev. J.S. Jewell, pastor of the Flatwoods Baptist Church will offiiciate.

Mrs. Persol was born in Franklin township Juen 30, 1831. She was a daughter of James and Rhoda Rittenhouse Blair, November 1850, she was married to Lewis Piersol, who died September 1, 1900. She was a devout member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church having united with the church in 1847 under the pastorate of Rev. William Woods. With the exception of Mrs. Narcissa Essignton of Cadiz, O., Mrs. Piersol was the oldest surviving member of the church in point of service. She was widely know in and about Franklin township and was well known in the West Side, having since the death of her huspand, spent the greater part of her time with her son, Holland Piersol. She is survived by two sons, Holland Piersol and Alva Piersol of the West Side. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Obediah and Christopher Blair, of Star Junction; Mildton, of Perry Okla.; William Blair of Harrison City; Mrs. Mory Hair of Midway, Pa., and Mrs. Elizabeth Piersol of Bellevernon.
