Mrs. Nellie Potter

Mrs. Nellie Potter, 74, of W. Elmwood Drive, a charter member of Woodland Heights Church of Christ, died Friday evening in a local hospital.

Mrs. Potter was also an active member of Senior Neighbors. She was the wife of the late Jesse J. Potter.

Survivors include four sons, Herbert Lawson, John Potter, Pete Potter and Jesse Potter, all of Chattanooga; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Nye, Mrs. Barbara Lawson and Mrs. Nellie Haithcock, all of Chattanooga,; brother, William Benton Massengale; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bell, Mrs. Dovie Adams, all of Chattanooga; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Ministers Johnnie Statom and Billy Ringgold officiating.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The body is at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home.
