Robert C. Blystone, 73, of Marshall Heights Road, Blairsville, died Saturday, January 12, 2002, at his home.
He was born October 24, 1928, in Marion Center,son of Edgar Carlisle Blystone and Mary Ada VanHorn Blystone.
Mr. Blystone worked for Asplundh Company for 27 years before retiring in 1977. He also worked for Patterson's Nursery from 1980 to 1992.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Alberta G. Stiles Blystone; five children, Robert G., Homer City; David E. and Mark B., Blairsville, Lloyd E and Mrs. Brett (Sandra) Davenport, New Florence; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters: Dorothy Airgood of Indiana, Thelma Starry and Adabelle Donahue, both of Erie, along with several nieces and nephew.
Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,James and George, and three sisters, Leona Airgood, Madeline Wolfgang and Lula Harmon.
A service was held Tuesday in Blairsville, Rev. Dwayne Burfield officiating.
Internment followed in Mount Tabor Cemetery in West Wheatfield Township.
