The following obituary appeared in the "Indiana Evening Gazette" (Indiana, PA) on Wednesday, October 1, 1975, page 32, column 5:

JAMES CHARLES BLYSTONE, 56, of Marion Center RD 1, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1975 at Indiana Hospital.

A son of Lisle and Mary Ada VanHorn Blystone, he was born April 3, 1919 at Marion Center.

Mr. Blystone had lived in Marion Center and Indiana and had resided at his present address the past two years.

Surviving are his widow, Esther Ruth Palmer Blystone; two brothers: George Edward, Clymer; Robert, Blairsville; five sisters: Mrs. Clair (Leona) Airgood, Rochester Mills; Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Airgood, Indiana; Mrs. Roy (Thelma) Starry, Erie; Mrs. LeRoy (Lula) Harmon, Indiana RD 3; Mrs. James (Ada Belle) Donahue, Erie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Madeline) Wolfgang.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Marsh officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
