Adolph Behnke, 71, of Hilbert, passed away Friday at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Sheboygan following a short illness.
He was born Aug. 6, 1881, in the town of Rantoul, Calumet County, and was married at Sherwood on Oct. 22, 1907 to Miss Eleanora Wolf. The couple have lived in Hilbert since their marriage.
Survivors include three sons, Leon of Brillion, Jerome of Sheboygan and Richard a serviceman stationed at Parks, AFB, California; five daughters, Mrs. Beulah Vanderhoof and Mrs. Lester Berkholtz, both of Brillion, Mrs. Thomas McGowan of Appleton, Miss Flora Behnke of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Richard Burner of Evanston, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and one brother, John of Wayside.
