Mr. Behnke was born Feb. 29, 1872, in the town of Rockland, Manitowoc County. He was married to Anna Koffernus may 5, 1895, and after working for the Milwaukee road for five years purchased the Koffernus homestead southwest of Hilbert. The family moved to Hilbert a year ago last April.
Survivors are the widow; six sons, Oscar, Louis, Herman, Jr., Walter, George, and Arno of Hilbert; three brothers, Otto of Oshkosh; Adolph and John of Hilbert; two sisters, Mrs. Emil Duenkler, Oshkosh; and Mrs. Adolph Kasper, Hilbe
