William R. Keith, Jr., age 72, of Amlin, Ohio, formerly of Glouster and Murray City, died April 11, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born in Glouster, Ohio, on Dec. 3, 1927, he was a son of the late William R. Keith, Sr. and Opal Carpenter Keith. Retired from Conrail, he was an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion in Hilliard, and of the Moose Lodge in Hilliard.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bonnie L. Shuttleworth Keith, who died March 10, 1998; sisters Mary Helen Funk, Bertine Stevens; and brothers Chester Keith, and Jack Keith.
Services will be at the Brown Funeral Home in Murray City, Ohio at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.
