Annie Ruth Asbill Morgan, 89, of 136 Ether Road, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Anne R. Beach and Rev. Dr. Bruce Lax officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Montgomery County to William Isaac and Arie Leach Asbill. She worked as a seamstress in textiles and retired from Jeanette Maternity in Biscoe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Morgan, Jr.; daughter, Vickie Moore; sister, Colleen McIver; and brothers, Charles, Robert, William, James D., and Ralph Asbill.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Ellen Harvell and husband, Michael, of Greenville, SC, Toni Goodwin and husband, Ricky, of Ether; sons, Robert Morgan and wife, Sylvia, of Humble, TX, Phil Morgan and wife, Julia, of Seagrove; son-in-law, Chuck Moore, of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church and other times at the home, 136 Ether Road, in Ether.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Randolph Hospice House, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204 or Montgomery County Humane Society, 1150 Okeewemee Road, Troy, NC 27371.
