Pauline Isham, 78, Reserve, died Monday, Sept. 18, at her rural Hayward home.

She was born Feb. 15, 1911, in Reserve, the daughter of Ben Gokey and Katie Martin Gokey. She attended nursing school in LaCrosse and later was associated with the Indian Health Service.

She was married Jan. 17, 1934, to Edgar Isham. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 1980.

Surviving are four sons, David and Dale, both of Reserve, and Dewey and Duane, both of Eau Claire; two daughters, Delia Bressette, Milwaukee, and Dorothea Cross, Reserve; four brothers, Theodore and Gregory Gokey, both of Superior, Mike, Signor, and John of California; six sisters, Marcella Guibord, Exilda Miller, Agnes LaRonge, and Isabelle Weiss, all of Reserve, Loretta Huddleston, Milwaukee, and Marie Corbine, Minneapolis; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five children.

The funeral service, to be held jointly with that of her grandson, Clayton Bressette, will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, Sept. 11, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Reserve, with Father Greg Hopefl, the celebrant for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Reserve Senior Citizens Center. The Koerpel Funeral Home of Hayward is in charge of arrangements.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 P.M. Thursday at the Reserve Senior Citizens Center.
